THE EDEN TOWNSHIP HEALTHCARE DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS SUSPENDED GRANT APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND GRANT FUNDING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

First it is necessary to stand on your own two feet. But the minute a man finds himself in that position, the next thing he should do is reach out his arms.

Q. What is the District’s funding schedule?

A. The Community Health Fund has two grant periods within a fiscal year running from July 1 through June 30. The deadline for the first cycle of this fiscal year is the last business day in September, with grant recipient notification by January. The second deadline is the last business day of March, with grant recipient notification by July.  We welcome applications from all eligible agencies until 2:30 p.m. on that business day.

Q. Are the District’s funding priorities the same as in previous years?

A. The Board of Directors makes some changes to the funding priorities each year. With input from the community, health advocates and the Alameda County Public Health Department, the District developed a new needs assessment and has set its priorities based on those health needs. Please carefully review the Community Health Fund requirements to ensure that your program and organization qualify for the grant.
