Announcements and Press District To Hold Public Sessions to Discuss Future Plans of Eden Medical Center Additional forums set for November 1 and 12, 2007, with more to be announced (Castro Valley, Calif.) The Eden Township Healthcare District and Sutter Health have committed to a plan to ensure the continuation of healthcare services in our communities. This unprecedented agreement ensures Sutter Health’s investment of more than $300 million for the rebuilding of Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley while continuing to invest in San Leandro Hospital to provide the best opportunity for the hospital’s future. The Eden Township Healthcare District will hold two public meetings to inform the public of the future plans for Eden Medical Center and the San Leandro Hospital Campus. The first meeting took place on Wednesday, October 17, at 6 p.m. at Eden Medical Center. The second meeting took place on Friday, October 19, at 4 p.m. in the same location. The public has requested additional time and meetings to review documents and provide feedback. To date, we have scheduled two more forums:

The public is invited to attend and learn more about these plans and provide the District Board of Directors with comment prior to action by the District Board on October 19.
